When two puppies, named Poppy and William, were discovered roaming the streets side by side, they hardly resembled dogs at all. They were severely malnourished and nearly stripped of their fur.
The concerned public, unable to look at the dogs’ suffering, quickly took them to the local vet, who then arranged for their transfer to the RSPCA’s care.

Given the condition of the pups, many believed they required intensive care, and even with that, there were doubts about their survival.
“It breaks our hearts to think back to when they were first rescued — they had endured so much trauma and were incredibly withdrawn and depressed. It was clear they had been used for breeding and were likely discarded once they no longer served that purpose,” said Hannah White, a worker at the RSPCA Kent Isle of Thanet Branch, in a press release.

“Today, they are full of energy and completely unrecognizable,” she added.
Both of these sweet pups are now thriving, having fully recovered not only their health but also their soft, luscious fur.

They spent time in a foster home to regain their strength, but now they’re searching for a loving forever home where they can stay together every step of the way.
“These two have been through so much together and are deeply bonded — William has limited sight, so Poppy serves as both his guide and companion. They are inseparable, and we’d love for them to be adopted together,” Hannah concluded.
