But life hasn’t been kind to this sweet Rottweiler. Just when he needed a home the most, his family abandoned him. Left to fend for himself, he wandered the streets, searching for a place to belong.
Yeti’s hardships reached a devastating peak when he was caught in a terrible accident. Alone, frightened, and in unbearable pain, he had almost no hope left. But just when it seemed like the end, fate stepped in!
Yeti’s Backstory

A group of compassionate rescuers found Yeti lying helpless in a ditch in Waco, Texas. He had been struck by a school bus and left in the freezing cold, his body battered and broken. His pelvis and front leg were completely shattered, and the trauma he endured was severe.
But hope was not lost. A local rescue stepped in just in time, determined to give Yeti a second chance. They rushed him to receive urgent veterinary care, and little by little, he began to heal.
That’s when Stephanie Cobbs entered his life. Taking him in as a foster, she dedicated herself to his recovery, doing everything possible to help Yeti find his strength again.

At first, Yeti’s caregivers did everything they could to save his broken leg. For a while, he showed signs of improvement, but the pain never truly faded. In the end, amputation was the only option to give him a pain-free life.
As if his journey wasn’t already unique, Yeti was also born with vitiligo—a rare condition that causes unpigmented patches on a dog’s skin and fur. While uncommon, vitiligo is completely harmless and only adds to his one-of-a-kind charm.
Despite everything he endured, Yeti never lost his spirit. From the moment he was rescued, he remained the sweetest, most affectionate boy. And one look at his face was enough to see just how grateful he was for his second chance at life.

Melissa was searching for the perfect dog to join her life in the Pacific Northwest when a friend told her about Yeti.
The moment she heard his story, she was captivated. His resilience, his uniqueness—everything about him touched her heart. Without hesitation, she flew to Texas, hoping they’d be the perfect match. And from the instant they met, it was clear they were meant to be.
Yeti melted into Melissa’s arms, as if to say, “You’re my forever hooman!” Their bond was instant, unshakable. With hearts full of love, they set off for their new life together in the PNW, ready to begin a beautiful journey side by side.
While many rescue dogs take months to adjust to a new home, Yeti settled in almost instantly. Within just two weeks, he had fully embraced his new life, bonding with Melissa and even getting along with his feline siblings.
But what truly surprised Melissa was Yeti’s love for bedtime!
“He wants to be as comfortable as possible and drift into dreamland, where he can chase, bark, and play with whatever he’s going after,” she shared in an Instagram post.
For Yeti, a cozy night’s sleep wasn’t just routine—it was a ritual, a moment of pure comfort in the safe and loving home he had always deserved.
And if there’s one place Yeti loves most—it’s the beach!
“Yeti is obsessed (to put it lightly) with the beach. He was taking OFF down the shoreline, chasing waves, grabbing sticks, and enjoying the freedom,” Melissa shared on Instagram.
With the sand beneath his paws and the ocean stretching before him, Yeti found pure joy, embracing every moment of his new, happy life.

At the end of the day, Yeti’s heart belongs to his family. He loves nothing more than long cuddle sessions with his mom and soaking up the comfort of home. For a dog who once had nowhere to belong, he’s embraced indoor life as if he’s always known it.
But don’t be fooled—Yeti is no introvert! This adventurous boy is always on the move, and his true talent? Making friends everywhere he goes.
There isn’t a single person Yeti doesn’t adore. With his ever-wagging tail, warm kisses, and signature Rottie smile, he spreads joy to everyone lucky enough to meet him.

With confidence and style, he belts out his own tunes, especially when he hears sirens in the distance.
“For whatever reason, he will always bellow out his best siren impression when he hears first responder sounds,” his mom shared in a video caption.
