When the Krier family discovered their beloved Black Labrador, Bo, was missing, panic set in. They searched frantically, calling his name and checking every possible place.
Bo’s owners knew his adventurous spirit well. Wandering off from their home in Concordia, Kansas, for an unsupervised adventure was one of his favorite pastimes.
Bo had a habit of wandering off but always managed to find his way back. This time, however, was different.
The night he went missing, he slipped away from the yard after his mom took him outside for a bathroom break. But this time, he didn’t return.

The entire family was deeply worried about their sweet boy. They searched tirelessly, unable to rest until he was found. Bo’s mom, Laura Krier, shared his photo on social media, urging anyone who spotted him to contact their family immediately.
The next day, hope returned when Bo’s dad, Kyle Krier, received a call. Someone had seen a dog resembling Bo running through the cornfields—six miles from home.

Kyle Krier wasted no time—he jumped in his car and drove straight to the location. The moment he spotted Bo, he called out his name. Instantly, Bo took off running toward him.
Relief washed over Krier. His beloved dog was safe.
But as he looked closer, he realized Bo wasn’t alone. He had company—two companions running alongside him. At first, Krier couldn’t quite make them out; they were just distant figures moving through the fields.

As the trio approached, Krier was stunned. Bo hadn’t just found his way into an adventure—he had made new friends along the way. To his surprise, running beside Bo was another dog… and a goat.
Being a good friend, Bo wasn’t about to leave his companions behind. He happily invited them to ride in his dad’s red truck.
Kyle Krier opened the door and called for the trio to hop in. Without hesitation, Bo, the dog, and the goat climbed aboard. Once everyone was settled, Krier drove them back to town, ready to reunite them with their rightful owners.

Krier soon discovered that Bo’s adventure buddies, Libby and Ozzy, belonged to his neighbors.
As he pieced the story together, it became clear—after sneaking out, Bo must have gone straight to his friends’ home. From there, the trio set off on an unexpected adventure.
Whose idea it was remained a mystery, but their owners had no doubt the plan was a team effort.
“It’s difficult to say whether Bo the black Lab or Libby and Ozzy were the mastermind behind this adventure. But, nonetheless, they escaped. They’re pals for sure,” Shawna Huggans told The Dodo.
Bo was happy to have friends who shared his adventurous spirit. Their unexpected journey had only strengthened their bond, proving that true friendship knows no bounds.

Bo continued to embrace his adventurous spirit, making even more goat friends along the way. Living his dream life in Kansas, he never lost his love for exploration—often sneaking away from home on new daily escapades.
But in July 2022, Bo’s family shared heartbreaking news. Laura Krier announced on Facebook that their beloved, perfect, and sweet Bo had crossed the rainbow bridge. Though gone, he would always hold a special place in their hearts.
“He was so perfect from the day we picked him as a puppy, it’s truly unexplainable! The happiness he brought us all every day, his funny personality, his love to go with Dad to work, his excitement for walks and jogs—even when I couldn’t keep up with his energy—and his love for hot dogs will live on forever with us,” Laura wrote.
Bo lived a life filled with love, adventure, and companionship. He made countless people smile, leaving behind cherished memories that would never fade.
