Romeo, Errol’s neighbor, first entered his life when Errol’s mom was asked to look after him while his owners were away. From that moment on, the two became inseparable.
“Errol loves every dog he meets, but Romeo can be a bit selective. That’s why it always warmed my heart that Romeo chose Errol as his friend,” Jenna Schwartz, Errol’s mom, told The Dodo.

Unfortunately, Errol fell ill and had to undergo surgery, with a long recovery that kept him off his paws for weeks. For six long weeks, Errol and Romeo didn’t see each other—until one unforgettable day that would forever be etched in their hearts.

Once Errol finally recovered, Jenna decided to break the monotony of indoor life with a refreshing walk outside.
While she expected it to lift Errol’s spirits after weeks spent within four walls, she had no idea it would lead to such a heartwarming moment.
As Jenna strolled through the neighborhood, pulling Errol in his wagon, she suddenly noticed him getting unusually excited. He started to squirm, and before she could react, a loud howl filled the air: “A-wooo! A-wooo!”
At first, Jenna was puzzled. But when she glanced ahead, everything became clear. Coming from the other direction was none other than Romeo. The moment Errol spotted his old friend, he simply couldn’t contain his joy.
