Cheddar’s owner, Hamoon, adopted him from a shelter after his previous family surrendered him. Originally named Gordon, Cheddar had a tough start in life. He was cautious when he first arrived in his new home, needing time to adjust.
Then, the magic happened!
For some reason, Cheddar has a habit of locking eyes with people, as if he’s trying to charm them with his irresistibly cute gaze.

“If you lock eyes with him long enough, he’ll pounce on you, then stretch out on you or even nibble your nose,” Hamoon told Cuddle Buddies.
And he does it in the most effortlessly adorable way! With his gentle smile and the chubbiest little chin, his whole expression seems to say, “I am adooorable!” Cheddar loves to engage in his own funny ways, and now, it’s safe to say he’s the heart of the family!

No matter who meets him or when, Cheddar’s sweet personality instantly captivates everyone—that’s just a fact of life!
“He’s kind of funny-looking—it’s the many chins, his eyes, and the way he just resembles a little old man. People can’t help but be mesmerized by his face,” says Hamoon.
The most endearing thing about Cheddar is his constant state of peace. No matter what’s happening around him, he always looks completely relaxed and unbothered. He finds his spot on the couch, settles in, and simply enjoys life.
“He just seems so unbothered by everything,” his dad says.

Before adopting Cheddar, Hamoon had another Chihuahua, Churro, for about two years. Unlike her new brother, Churro was shy and reserved—but everything changed when Cheddar arrived.
“I noticed that Churro’s anxiety and timidness really eased,” Hamoon shares. “She found comfort in playing with him, sleeping next to him, and sometimes I even catch her grooming him.”
At the same time, Churro seemed to understand that her brother had a tough past. She was incredibly gentle with him, as if she knew he needed extra care.

Cheddar helped his sister overcome her anxiety, and together, they created a special bond. Now, they can’t imagine life without each other.
Whenever Cheddar chases a toy, Churro chases him—and just like that, playtime begins! This dynamic duo loves every moment together, and even when Churro playfully nibbles on Cheddar’s neck rolls, he doesn’t seem to mind one bit.
