Dogs with neurological problems don’t often get the attention they deserve, yet these conditions are more common than many realize. It’s heartbreaking to think about the challenges they face, as even simple daily tasks become difficult—sometimes impossible—without their owner’s help.
They need all the support they can get. In this story, we’ll share the journey of a rescued dog whose condition was immediately recognized by his rescuer, changing his life forever.
Freddie Has A Lot Of Problems

When Samantha first approached Freddie, she was struck by his friendly nature—but something else caught her attention, too.
His unsteady gait and wobbling head signaled potential health issues, making her immediately concerned. Locals told her that Freddie had been surviving on the streets of Texas, scavenging for food and seeking shelter in people’s yards whenever it rained.
It was a tough way to survive, but hopefully, those days were behind him. His rescuer had made the decision to take him somewhere safe, giving him a chance at a better life.

At first, Samantha hadn’t planned on taking Freddie home—she simply didn’t have the space. But seeing how vulnerable he was, she knew she couldn’t leave him behind.
She considered finding him a foster home, but time wasn’t on his side. Without hesitation, she brought him into her car and drove him back to her home in Texas.
Later, a vet exam confirmed what Samantha had suspected—Freddie had Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition he was likely born with. This meant the part of his brain responsible for motor function hadn’t fully developed, causing his unsteady movements.
While there’s no cure for the condition, the good news was that it wouldn’t worsen over time. Freddie could still live his life, just in his own special way.

As Samantha spent more time with Freddie, she got to know the sweet dog behind his wobbly steps. He was always friendly, though sometimes a little shy.
Despite his condition, Freddie loved to play and explore—nothing could hold him back from his adventures.
When he met the other dogs in the house, it didn’t take long for him to win them over. His joyful energy was contagious, and soon, he was surrounded by new friends.
With his loving nature and unstoppable spirit, Freddie quickly became a favorite. It was impossible not to smile around him—he was simply adorable.
Freddie loved spending time on the couch, his favorite spot to relax. Since he couldn’t climb up on his own, Samantha made sure to help him, giving him the comfort and support he needed.

One of their favorite things to do is simply relax and enjoy each other’s company. Freddie is incredibly lucky to have found someone as kind and caring as Samantha.
But his journey isn’t over yet. Samantha still needs to find him a forever home—a task that won’t be easy.
Once Freddie completes his treatment, he’ll be transferred to Lola’s Lucky Day, where he’ll have the chance to find a loving family.
While we may not know exactly what happened next, one thing feels certain—this sweet dog has likely found his perfect home by now, surrounded by amazing people who adore him.
