Although countless dogs are still waiting for a brighter future, some stories restore faith in humanity. This is one of them…
When Angelo, a Great Dane puppy, was discovered on the streets, he was barely hanging on. Severely malnourished and too weak to stand, he seemed like a lost cause.
Then, something incredible happened. A compassionate woman, dedicated to rescuing stray dogs, stepped in to help. But Angelo’s journey was far from easy—he required urgent medical care to have a fighting chance.

The heartbreaking reason behind Angelo’s weakness was soon discovered—his stomach was full of stones. Starving and desperate, he had eaten them just to survive.
By the time he reached the shelter, he could no longer eat or pass anything, making his condition critical. Immediate surgery was his only chance, but even then, survival was uncertain for this brave Great Dane puppy.
Furever Rescue Foster Did The Job Right

Hanan, a dedicated rescuer from the Furever Rescue Foster organization, was determined to give Angelo a fighting chance. The surgery was costly, and his recovery would be long and difficult, so she turned to social media for help.
That’s when Justin Finning and his wife, Deborah, saw Angelo’s photo. Though he was miles away from their home, they didn’t hesitate—they moved mountains to help save him.
Justin, Deborah, And Angelo Were Just Meant To Be
Justin and Deborah were no strangers to rescuing Great Danes.
With over 30 years of experience fostering and caring for Danes with disabilities, they had dedicated their lives to helping dogs in need. The moment they heard about Angelo’s situation, they knew they had to be part of his rescue.
The challenge, however, was that Angelo was in a different country and couldn’t travel until he had surgery. Determined to help, Justin, Deborah, and Hanan launched a fundraiser to cover the cost of his treatment.
Beyond the initial surgery, Angelo needed extensive rehabilitation, including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and a specialized diet—all of which came at a high cost.

Fortunately, the compassionate couple achieved their mission, giving Angelo the life-saving care he desperately needed.
The surgery was a success, but Angelo still needed time to regain his strength before making the journey to his forever home. When the long-awaited day finally arrived, Hanan shared a heartfelt message on Facebook:
“Finally, Angelo went home! He is so happy and enjoying his life.”
“Justin Finning and Deborah Noakes, thank you both for sponsoring him and welcoming him into your little paradise.”
