In the pouring rain, a pregnant dog curled up in the corner of an abandoned backyard, shivering against the cold. Tied to a tree, her drenched fur clung to her fragile body, and her eyes reflected nothing but sorrow.

She should have been inside, warm and safe, awaiting the arrival of her puppies with comfort and care. Instead, she was cast out, left to endure the storm alone.
