When Jordan was first rescued from his neglectful owner, it was thanks to Releash Atlanta, an organization dedicated to saving as many dogs as possible from Georgia puppy mills.
His foster mom, Melissa, took him in with the hope of helping him heal from his past trauma. But at first, it wasn’t easy.
Jordan had never experienced a normal life. Stairs, couches, and even grass were completely foreign to him—having spent most of his life confined to a cage. He didn’t know how to trust or how to simply be a dog.

Jordan had so much to learn, but Melissa was patient, guiding him through each new experience at his own pace.
As time passed, he made incredible progress, slowly growing more comfortable in his new world. But despite how far he had come, Melissa knew it was time to find him a forever home—a place where he could truly belong.

Melissa shared with The Dodo, “Jordan is going to find his forever home today. Ann and Kinney are the perfect adopters for him.”
Their daughter had come across Jordan’s story and knew they had to help. Inspired by her compassion, Ann and Kinney decided to adopt him.
The couple arrived at Melissa’s home in Atlanta, eager to meet Jordan in person. Though he was a bit skittish at first, he quickly warmed up—especially when he met his new dog sibling, Bella.
As soon as they brought Jordan to his forever home, his entire demeanor changed.
His new mom, Ann, recalled, “Jordan was so excited. He ran through every room, sniffing everything, just taking in where he was going to be living from now on.”

Since his adoption, he has continued to thrive, embracing his new life with joy. More than anything, he loves being surrounded by his family, finally knowing what it means to be safe and loved.
